Meet our Keynote Speaker, Kristin Slye!
Kristin Slye serves Truckee/Tahoe youth, from toddlers to teens, as a licensed psychotherapist and Sierra Nevada’s only registered expressive arts therapist.
She has worked as a therapist for Placer County and Tahoe Truckee Unified School District, serving children experiencing severe mental distress, including depression, anxiety, suicidality, self-harm, trauma responses, and psychosis. She has a passion for working with parents who wish to break cycles of intergenerational trauma.
Kristin looks forward to sharing what she sees happening to our community youth, and how positive early childhood experiences at home and at KidZone Museum lay the foundation for a more defined sense of self, fortified relationships, and improved mental health later in life.
