What is the club?

Girls Who Code is a sisterhood of supportive peers and role models who use computer science to change the world. When you join a Club, you will be able to lear from fun and simple coding tutorials, build community through interactive activities, and learn about inspiring women in computing.

How will I learn?

In order to build the skills you need to make an impact, you will learn how to code in the programming language Swift, which is used by Apple to create iPhone and other apps. iPads will be provided to learn during club time.

Why code?

Computer programming will help everyone in the future change the world! From scientists to community leaders, the most successful ones will have core coding abilities.

Who can join?

Our Fall 2021 club is now open to middle school girls. And it’s completely free! Whether you’re a beginner or a computer master, you’re invited to join the movement!

When and where do we meet?

Meet at KidZone Museum in Truckee on Tuesdays, Sept. 28 through Dec. 14, 3-4:30 p.m.
