Camp for Ages 3-4

Nature Camp Session I – COMPLETE

Dates: July 1-5, 2019 (no camp on 7/4)
Time:
9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Cost: $144 non members, $115 members

In various locations around Truckee, campers will experience hands-on exploration of planting, composting, fruits and vegetables, visit farm animals and create nature/earth art. Transportation required.

Camp for Ages 4-6

Nature Camp Session II

Dates: July 22-26, 2019
Time: 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Cost: $180 for non-members, $144 for members

In various locations around Truckee, campers will experience hands-on exploration of planting, composting, fruits and vegetables, visit farm animals and create nature/earth art. Transportation required.

Camp for Girls Ages 5+

Girl-Powered Lego Camp

Dates: July 29-Aug. 2, 2019
Time: 1-4 p.m.
Cost: $175 for non-members, $140 for members

Camp for Ages 5-7

Kitchen Chemistry – COMPLETE

Dates: July 8-12, 2019
Time: 1-4:30 p.m.
Cost: $180 for non-members, $144 for members

This camp uses hands-on exploration of substances to see how they interact, combine and change. Sometimes they even form new substances! Camp includes museum play.

Camps for Ages 5-8

Lego Camp – Star Wars!

Dates: July 29 – Aug. 2, 2019
Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Cost: $175 for non-members, $140 for members

This Core Engineering program with Play-Well Teknologies is a safe space for kids to learn and discover the most through play. It’s about the process, not the result. This themed camp explores the imaginative world of Star Wars.

Camps for Ages 6-8

TINS logoBug Camp with TINS – COMPLETE

Dates: July 8-11, 2019
Time: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Cost: $150 for non-members, $135 for members

In various outdoor locations around Truckee, young campers will look under logs, among plants, and in tree bark in search of hidden insects. They will also learn what these bugs eat and their important jobs in the ecosystem. Note: ​Drop off location varies by day​. Usually carpooling with other campers is a good option and can be arranged by you and other parents on the first day of camp.

Electricity and Physics Camp

Dates: July 15-19, 2019
Time: 1-4:30 p.m.
Cost: $180 for non-members, $144 for members

Learn about circuits, switches, conductivity and current  as well as the nature of matter and energy. We’ll also include art projects for this STEAM camp. Museum play included in camp.

Camp for Ages 9-12

TINS logoTINS Tahoe Explorers​

Dates: July 22-26, 2019
Time:
9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Cost: $280 for non-members, $250 for members

As this camp is designed for adventurous kids, campers will explore Tahoe’s wildlife and watershed, learn about forest ecology, and experience the geology of the Tahoe basin. Campers will hike, kayak, play games, and learn from various natural science experts. Transportation and all activity fees are included.
