About the New KidZone Museum
Our new 6,500-square-foot museum at Truckee River Regional Park is under construction, with Phase I anticipated to open in fall/winter 2027–28! We’re actively raising $2.5 million to complete Phase I exhibits and programming. Additionally, we’ll be raising $6.5 million for Phase II, which will add approximately 3,500 square feet of exciting new spaces and experiences.
Our community’s support is essential to bringing this world-class museum to Truckee-Tahoe. Our public fundraising campaign launches in January 2027, but you can get involved now! Naming opportunities are still available, and everyone who donates $1,000 or more will be recognized on a permanent donor wall at the new museum, a lasting tribute to those helping make this dream a reality.
