Play-Well TEKnologies joins the KidZone Museum to offer this amazing camp for girls who love to build! Taught by women engineers and scientists, this camp will provide a supportive environment for girls to build engineer-designed projects such as boats, bridges, mazes, and motorized cars. Explore the endless creative possibilities of the LEGO building system with the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor.
Anyone at any age can become a chemist. Every kitchen is a treasure-trove of chemical reactions. Explore the chemistry, while experimenting with household materials. Make chocolate bowls, bubble gum and ice cream using science. Come experiment with us and mix some new concoctions.
Transportation required. In various outdoor locations in Truckee, young campers will explore under logs, dig in the dirt, investigate plants, and in tree bark in search of hidden insects. They will also learn what these bugs eat and their important jobs in the ecosystem.
Campers will learn the basics of electricity by exploring the physical principles involved, and then building a variety of circuits and devices that demonstrate its many uses. Explore Squishy circuits, dissect toys, make scrabble machines, light up a house and play with batteries, motors, wires and more. And, of course, all will enjoy free play at the museum with new friends.
