This is a play-based class designed to inspire and enrich kids’ brains, bodies and hearts. These classes are all about exploration and discovery, where curiosity is treasured and kids are encouraged to feel, touch and learn through sensory activities. Let your kid communicate through art and have some good, Family Fun Friday!

Friday, October 27 - Halloween Sensory Exploration
Sensory play includes any activity that stimulates your child’s senses: touch, smell, taste, sight and hearing. Sensory activities facilitate exploration and naturally encourage children to use scientific processes while they play, create, investigate and explore. Spending time stimulating their senses helps children develop cognitively, linguistically, socially and emotionally, physically and creatively. Come and learn all about child development through sensory play, find activities and crafts that encourage sensory play and discover how to make your own sensory table at home!

Friday, November 3 - Building with Apples
In this activity, children are invited to learn more about gravity, engineering and architecture in a fun and hands-on way. This is a simple “invitation to build”. Let’s build with something other than blocks!

Friday, November 10 - Seasoning & Spices Painting
Enjoy this great sensory art experience. In this class we tantalize an extra sense by painting with seasoning and spices.

Friday, November 17 - Pomander ball
One whiff of the wonderful scent of a pomander ball is all it takes to get anybody dreaming of the holidays. Pomander balls are a colonial American Christmas tradition. They make very unique gifts. Pomander balls can be used in drawers and closets, like a sachet, or as decorations by hanging them, or they can be set in an attractive bowl on a table. They will continue to give off their scent for years to come.
