This is a play-based class designed to inspire and enrich kids’ brains, bodies and hearts. Let your kid communicate through art and have some good, Family Fun Friday!

Friday, August 4 - Rubber Band Powered Plane
Making paper planes is a simple paper craft with enormous learning benefits for children. At its most basic, it’s a clear hands-on example of geometry, symmetry and how shapes fit together. To transform a two dimensional piece of paper into a three dimensional flying machine is not only magical, but it’s a unique exercise in spatial reasoning.

Friday, August 11 - Scented Dough Balls
In this class will celebrate Summer early with some rose scented dough. Children will love crushing up the rose petals and working it into the dough. Before class ends children will be invited to roll the dough into a ball and let it dry. Take home a scented “summer ball” and celebrate the smells of summer for the whole year.

Friday, August 18 - Paper Plates Birds
Make colorful, eclectic birds with paper plates and different materials. Explore different textures with different kind of feathers that you can use to create this craft.

Friday, August 25 - Literacy Sensory Exploration
Adding sensory engaging activities to books can really bring a favorite story to life, encourage play independently and with others, develop language skills, work on early learning skills, and satisfy the senses of a young child. Many young children learn with their whole body and attend better when there are more outlets of sensory processing. Come and join us for some literature-sensory fun!
