Family Fun Friday


Date: Fridays
Time: 11 a.m.
Ages: All ages
Location: KidZone Museum
Cost: Free for members and with admission.

This is a play-based class designed to inspire and enrich kids’ brains, bodies and hearts. These classes are all about exploration and discovery, where curiosity is treasured and kids are encouraged to feel, touch and learn through sensory activities. Let your kid communicate through art and have some good, Family Fun Friday!

Friday, January 26 - Snowflake Craft
Making snowflakes is a classic winter activity and kids are thrilled with the outcome. Kids love using scissors, and it helps them develop their fine motor skills.

Friday, February 2nd - Spinning Art
Spin art teaches children about color, color mixing and abstract art. Come learn how to make your own homemade spin art “machine.”

Friday, February 9th - Valentine Sun Catchers
Make lovely sun catchers for a loved one. Kids will create a beautiful decoration for the house or a perfect Valentine’s Day gift for anyone.

Friday, February 16th - Fizzy Dough
This multi-leveled sensory exploration and science experiment is a great entertainer as well as playful learning experience!

Friday, February 23rd - Marbled Milk Paper
Combine art and science with this fun project! Simple chemistry yields beautiful results that you can hang up or use as a card.

Members Only Art Studio Sensory Play

Location: KidZone Museum
Cost: Free for members

Come and enjoy this Self-explored class where you will learn about child development through sensory play, find activities and crafts that encourage sensory play and discover
how to make your own sensory table at home. Great for toddlers! This is a not-conducted class full of fun activities to explore with your kid.

Bilingual Sing Along with Brooke Chabot


Date: Thursday, January 25
Time: 10:30 a.m.
Ages: All ages
Location: KidZone Museum
Cost: Free for members and with admission.


This class is built on your child's natural enthusiasm for music and movement. Brooke has been making music all her life, singing and playing guitar; and exploring movement, song, and instrument play whenever possible. She has been a Music Together mom since 2008 and a Music Together teacher and director since 2012.

Come and learn bilingual songs that will help you provide your child with the basic musical skills needed to enjoy school and social musical activities.

 

 

Harvest of the Month: Kiwi Fruit

Cost: Free for members and with admission.


Harvest of the Month is an initiative of the California Department of Public Health that features nutrition education tools and resources to support healthy lifestyle habits like eating fruits and vegetables every day. Children will be invited to see, smell, touch and taste a different vegetable or fruit every month. Great for all ages!

This cute craft will steal your heart! We’ll create sweet valentines jars to use as a vase, a container for all your valentines or just as a festive decoration.
